Best friends Mees and Boelie are spending a beautiful spring day in Amsterdam’s Vondelpark. It seems like just a normal day, until they meet the young and attractive Panda. While the heat rises in the park, it’s nowhere to be found between the long-married couple Etta and Ernst-Jan. Ernst-Jan suspects Etta of cheating and has his own ideas of how to catch her in the act. We also meet Rosa and Kees, old lovers whose paths cross after decades of not seeing each other. 	2016: DE HELLEVEEG / THE FURY Based on the novel by A.F.Th. van der Heijden, written and directed by Andre van Duren. Tragi-comedy about “Tidy Tini”. The fury amuses and astonishes the viewer. But when we find out what happened to her in her youth we are left devastated, and a shiver will replace our smile. Covering the second half of the 20th century with Hannah Hoekstra, Benja Bruijning, Hadewich Minis, Anneke Blok, Gijs Scholten van Aschat, Robert de Hoog and Frank Lammers. A historic crime drama about a young woman who wants to escape from the web of crime that surrounds her. The harder she tries, the more she gets stuck in fraud, prostitution, manslaughter and even murder. 	2003: KEES DE JONGEN / YOUNG KEES Written by Bob in ’t Hout and Maarten Lebens based on the novel by Theo Thijssen. Directed by André van Duren. Historic family picture about 12 year old daydreaming Kees Bakels living in the Jordaan quarter of Amsterdam in 1895 who develops into a doer. 	2001: THE ISLAND OF THE MAPMAKER’S WIFE Written and directed by Michie Gleason. An American woman, collector of rare 17th century maps, discovers a very valuable piece in Amsterdam. During the negotiations she falls in love with the Dutch map dealer and does everything to achieve her goals. With Natasha Little, Roland Gift, Dominique Sanda. Release Fall 2001.
	2001: DE VRIENDSCHAP / FRIENDSHIP A romantic comedy written and directed by Nouchka van Brakel. In a Chique appartement building in Rotterdam two old friends meet again after 40 years. Their reunion does not go easily, old problems have to be solved, new conflicts occur when they fall in love with the same woman, just like 40 years ago. 	2000: DE ZWARTE METEOOR / THE BLACK METEOR Comedy drama directed by Guido Pieters, based on the biography of Steve “Kalamazoo” Mokone by Tom Egbers. From the moment the black South African soccer player arrives in Almelo, a small, provincial, godfearing town, in 1957, to strengthen the ranks of the local football club Heracles, nothing will be the same. 	1998: DE BAL / THE BALL Directed by Dany Deprez. Fairy tale with and for children about a ‘living’ ball who assists the children in saving the last park and playground in town. With special effects and computer animation. With Hilde van Mieghem, Rijk de Gooyer, Michael Pas. A Belgian/Dutch/German coproduction. Delivery january 1999. Worldpremiere as the opening film of the Kinderfilmfest Berlin 1999. Released Benelux September 1999 by Warner Bros.
	1997: THE TANGO LESSON Second feature film of Sally Potter (Orlando) about the art of The Tango. With Sally Potter and Pablo Veron. Dutch partner in an English/French/ German/Japanese/Dutch co-production. Première September 1997 during Venice Film Festival.
	1996: ADVOCAAT VAN DE HANEN / LAWYER OF THE PUNKS A Psychological thriller set in the Amsterdam yuppie scene and underground in the 1980s. The story of a succesful, alcoholic lawyer who cannot square his quilty knowledge with his conscience. Based upon the bestseller novel by A.F.Th. van der Heijden. Screenplay by Kitty Verrips and Gerrit van Elst, who is also the director. With Pierre Bokma in the leading part. Released May 1996.
	1995: AFFAIR PLAY A Romantic Comedy with psychological and thriller elements about Alex who runs the family Diamond business and marries Lisa in his fourties. He discovers a pathological jealousy towards his wife. Directed by Roeland Kerbosch with Derek de Lint and Lysette Anthony. Shot in Holland in the Dutch and English language in Oct/Nov 1994. 	1994: DUIZEND ROZEN / 1000 ROSEN Adaptation of the stageplay by famous Austrian playwriter Gustav Ernst about the inhabitants of a small industrial town with a big iron plant and the violent consequenses when the factory is sold and closed. Directed by Theu Boermans. With: Marieke Heebink, Jaap Spijkers, Bert Geurkink, Marisa van Eyle, Marianne Rogee, Hannes Demming, Tessa Lily Windham. Awarded with Grand prize of Dutch film 1994 for Best Actress, Best Actor and Best Film.
	1994: WILDGROEI / IT WILL NEVER BE SPRING Roadmovie on a boat. Selected for Filmfestival Cannes 1994 – Semaine de la Critique. Original screenplay by Frouke Fokkema about a female writer telling her bizarre lovestory to two elderly men. Directed by Frouke Fokkema. With: Hilde van Mieghem, Thom Hoffman, Ellen ten Damme, Hans Croiset and Julien Schoenaerts.
	1993: VALS LICHT / FALSE LIGHT Psychological thriller about a student falling in love with a prostitute. Based on the novel of Joost Zwagerman. Directed by Theo van Gogh. With: Amanda Ooms, Ellik Bargai, Thom Hoffman, Tom Jansen.
	1992: ORLANDO Adaptation of the classic novel by Virginia Woolf. The story of a journey through time, of a man who lives 400 years and becomes a woman. Written and directed by Sally Potter. With: Tilda Swinton, Lothaire Bluteau, John Wood, Quentin Crisp, Charlotte Valandrey. Production designers: Ben van Os and Jan Roelfs were nominated for an Oscar in 1994. An English/Dutch/French/Italian/Russian coproduction.
	1992: VOOR EEN VERLOREN SOLDAAT / FOR A LOST SOLDIER Wartime story about a young boy who is evacuated in the last year of WW II from Amsterdam to Friesland. Directed by Roeland Kerbosch. Based on the story of Rudy van Dantzig. This film had a small, but very successfull release in U.S.A. With: Jeroen Krabbé (old Jeroen), Maarten Smit (young Jeroen), Elsje de Wijn en Freak Schmink.
	1991: ELINE VERE Psychological Drama about a young woman who cannot bear the strict bourgeois life of The Hague in 1890. Based on Louis Couperus. Directed by Harry Kümel. With: Marianne Basler, Monique van de Ven, Thom Hoffman, Mary Dresselhuys, Micheal York and Aurore Clement. A Dutch/Belgian/French coproduction with Eurimages.
